JAMES D. PRIMM, 78, LIFETIME RESIDENT DIED SUDDENLY FRIDAY

James D. Primm, 78, died suddenly at his residence at 1 p.m. Friday, May 6.  He had been in failing health for the past several years.
Mr. Primm, son of James Darrell and Nancy Jane Primm, was born May 8, 1877, on a farm near Athens where he resided until retiring in 1937.  He was married to Margaret England in 1899.  She preceded him in death in 1947.

Mr. Primm was a member of the Athens Christian Church.

Surviving are four sons, Herbert, Arcadia, Calif.; Merle, Downer’s Grove; Harold, Niantic; and Ralph, of Bloomington; five daughters, Misses Lucille, Jean, Vida, and Mrs. Margaret Richter, of Athens, and Mrs. Edith Bush, of Skokie; 10 grandchildren; and a great grandson.

Funeral services were held at 3 p.m. Sunday at the Mott and Son Funeral Home, Rev. Leland Short officiating.  Burial was made in Indian Point Cemetery.
